Admissions Application is Streamlined for Ease of Completion

A team of Methodist College staff recently completed a project to streamline the online admissions application. The team carefully reviewed all aspects of the application and identified which information was needed by the Admissions department in order to accept prospective students.

"There were many antiquated features of the application that we no longer needed and were actually creating barriers for students to complete the application," said Director of Admissions Alissa Selburg. "For example, we no longer require students write a personal statement or provide references as part of the initial Methodist College application. By removing those components, students can more easily complete the application."

Prospective students can access the application at www.methodistcol.edu/apply and complete all requested information, pay the application fee, and submit the form. For individuals who have started an application and did not submit, it is easy to go to the application portal, by logging in and using the User Name and Password they created when they first started the application. If the user forgot their User Name, they can send an email to admissions@methodistcol.edu or call (309) 671-2913 during regular business hours. If a user forgot their Password, they click on the Forgot Password? link on the front page of the application portal.

While applications are still being accepted for the fall 2019 semester, July 31 is the admissions deadline.  Individuals with questions about the application process and admissions requirements can contact staff at admissions@methodistcol.edu.
