Campus Security Information

Methodist College is committed to providing you with a safe educational environment. The college provides the following services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in an effort to ensure the safety and well being of all students, staff and faculty:

Identification card access required to enter the Methodist College building for all doors. The main front entrance door is unlocked during the normal business hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Security cameras monitoring all entry points into the campus building and in the parking areas
Smoke detectors and sprinkler systems in all classrooms and common areas
Random security checks throughout the day, evening, and early morning hours
Courtesy rides from hospital to Methodist College building and vise versa during evening and early morning hours.(security at 5921)
Several 911 emergency phones located throughout the campus area.

MMCI Security provides the following services:

Campus Security (parking lot and within our building)
Crime reporting (thefts, burglary, physical assaults…)
Escort to vehicle
Vehicle assistance

If you incur these situations and need assistance, please notify security at 672-5921.

Battery jumps available at no charge
Locked out of your car
Need a ride from MMCI to Methodist College (visa versa) or from Methodist College building to car

Student Safety Tips:

Park in visible area
Ask for an escort
Remove valuables from car
Keep calm and ready
Start your car after locking doors
Always have your cell phone with you.
Find your keys before you walk.
Examine your surroundings and car.
