Personal Philosophy of Nursing Education:

I believe in the personal worth, dignity, and potential of all humanity to learn from and to teach reciprocally.

I believe that the practice of nursing is inclusive of lifelong learning occurring in the personal, clinical, and academic realms requiring introspection and commitment to both personal and professional   growth and improvement.

I believe that professional nurses and nurse educators serve as stewards to students , the profession of nursing, and to society in matters of health and well being, injury and disease prevention and that such stewardship is guided  by both nursing science and the nursing art of caring.

I believe that education has the power to enrich and enhance human life. Educators should focus on   individual and societal success rather than failure and shortcomings and as an educator, approach each new situation with open arms, heart and mind.
