Crisis Intervention Team (CIRT)

The purpose of this committee is to  address the mental and emotional needs of MC constituents after a crisis by providing resources from within the college and from the community.

Goals of the CIRT involve planning how to respond after the following types of crises:

  • Death of Student
  • Death of Employee
  • Weapon Incident
  • Natural Disasters

In the event of the death of a Methodist College constituent, please notify the following people:

  • If the death occurs on campus, 
call 911 and
                         college security at 309-672-4500 or
         hospital security at 309-672-5921.

  • If the death occurs off campus,
               inform the Dean of Students at  309-282-8450
