Title IX
Methodist College seeks to maintain a safe and healthy environment for faculty, staff, and students.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 states: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."
Methodist College is committed to providing a learning, working, and living environment that promotes personal integrity and human dignity in an environment free of sexual harassment and sexual assault/violence, dating violence, and domestic violence. Sexual discrimination violates an individual's fundamental rights and personal dignity.
We take reports of sexual harassment, sexual assault/violence, dating violence, and domestic violence seriously and how we respond depends on, among other things, the facts and circumstances of the specific incident, to whom it was reported and the College's obligation under applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Policy
In order to preserve the fundamental dignity and rights of all Methodist College employees or students or those seeking such status with the College, harassment of any form, whether on the basis of sex or any other protected class under the College's Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy, is prohibited.
