Application Form and Deadlines

Students seeking admission to Methodist College must complete the application with all transcripts (send all transcripts to Admissions Coordinator, 415 St. Mark Ct., Peoria, IL 61603) and the non-refundable $35 application fee.  The application form is available Online (if a security warning pops up, please accept it to complete the form)

Priority Application Deadlines

Students are considered for admission into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree or the RN-BSN Degree Program during the fall (starting in August) and spring (starting in January) terms. Completed applications for admission are due by:

February 15, 2012 for Fall 2012
September 15, 2012 for Spring 2013

Prospective students may submit an application after these deadlines, but applications received before the Priority Application Deadlines above will receive first consideration.  

Application Requirements

The minimum application requirements to be considered for admission into Methodist College are:

 

For applicants with less that 30 credit hours of post-secondary education credit:

  • Graduation from a state approved high school or GED certificate.
  • A high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • An ACT composite score of 19.
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.0 on all college work attempted. A grade of C or better in a course is required for award of transfer credit.

Applicants with 30 or more credit hours of post-secondary education credit:

  • An applicant must have earned 30 or more hours of college credit to be considered a transfer student.  The credit must be earned at an accredited college or university. 
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.0 on all college work attempted. A grade of C or better in a course is required for award of transfer credit.

Applicants who already hold RN licensure (applying for the RN-BSN Degree program):

  • Completion of a diploma or associate degree in a nursing program.
  • Must currently hold a valid RN license.
  • Completion of a minimum of 30 credit hours of specific general education courses. 
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.0 on all college work attempted. 

Applicants who already have completed a Bachelor's Degree (applying for the 2nd Degree program): 

  • Must have completed either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited institution.
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.0 on all college work attempted.
  • Must have completed 30 hours of required prerequisites.

Please remember that the application requirements listed above are the minimum requirements.  Meeting these requirements in no way guarantees admission to the college. 

There may also be additional admission requirements that must be completed before enrollment at Methodist College.  We encourage all prospective students to work closely with our admissions staff to ensure all requirements are identified and met. 

We do not accept international students at this time.
