Tuition-Free Nursing Education and Path to Employment

Ready for a rewarding career in nursing? Methodist College and Carle Health are proud to introduce the Academic Investment Program, a unique initiative that will excuse tuition, book expenses and other fees, while providing students with employment opportunities upon successful completion of your degree program, passing the NCLEX-RN and fulfillment of work commitment at Carle Health. 

The Academic Investment Program is open to current Carle Health team members, current Methodist College students and all other individuals eligible for admission to Methodist College Nursing programs.

Take the first step towards the Academic Investment Program

Students interested in the Academic Investment Program first must be admitted to Methodist College. If you have not started the application for admission, please complete that process first, here. Once admitted or a current student please click the appropriate link below for your undergraduate or graduate program. To be eligible for the Academic Investment Program students must meet the academic criteria, Carle Health Team Member requirements and meet all other requirements for the program. Please see eligibility criteria below: 

To participate in the Academic Investment Program students must be eligible for admission to Methodist College Nursing programs. Current Carle Health team members must be in good employment standing. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required for acceptance into the program. 

 Participating students must meet Methodist College’s general admission requirements, as well as the following GPA requirements (specific to the Academic Investment Program): 
  •  High school students or students with no college experience: High school GPA of 3.0 or higher* 
  • Current students or transfer students: GPA of 2.5 or higher 
*If a new student meets Methodist College's general admission requirements but not the Academic Investment Program GPA requirement, they may still be admitted to Methodist College. In this case, they will be able to apply for the program following a successful semester with a 2.5 GPA or higher.

About the Program

No Out-of-Pocket Tuition Costs

Your nursing education - including tuition, book expenses and other fees - will be fully covered with a commitment to work at Carle Health for a minimum of two years after graduation and/or licensure.

Pathway to a Career in Nursing

As the national nursing shortage continues to be a challenge, Carle Health and Methodist College are committed to creating pathways for the next generation of caregivers to experience fewer barriers when pursuing healthcare careers. Following graduation, students will have the opportunity to step into a nursing position within the Carle Health system.

Free Housing

Eligible students receiving financial aid may also qualify for free housing on campus in the Methodist College Apartment Complex, a student housing development offering convenient, apartment-style housing.

Please note that our apartment complex is zoned for single students only. We cannot accommodate students who are married or have children.
