Methodist College Is Moving!

Methodist College is building on its significant growth through the acquisition of the American Furniture building, located at 5801 W. War Memorial Drive in north Peoria. The college is experiencing a record enrollment of nearly 600 students, and has outgrown its current location at 415 NE Saint Mark Ct. in Peoria.
On May 14, 2015, Methodist College officially purchased the new building. A groundbreaking ceremony for the facility, including new student residences, will be held on June 2 at 10:30 a.m. The anticipated completion date for the new college is fall of 2016.
“The American Furniture building has enough space to accommodate our growing student body,” said Methodist College President Dr. Kimberly Johnston. "Locating the college there would help us continue to expand the array of high-quality programs we offer.”
Methodist College conducted extensive research in selecting this site. The college discovered that students find the location of the American Furniture building especially desirable. Constructed in 2003, the 126,000 square-foot building offers plenty of surface parking and green space, and is easily accessible from Interstate 74 and both the UnityPoint Health – Methodist and UnityPoint Health – Proctor campuses.
