Degrees & Programs
Methodist College's academic programs are based on a combination of classroom-based studies, research and dynamic real-world clinical experience. This gives every student the opportunity to choose their own career path - from general patient care to highly focused, specialty care areas. Our faculty and staff are knowledgeable experts who strive to create an exciting educational environment.
Methodist College offers the following programs:
- Four-Year Pre-Licensure BSN - This four-year, eight semester program includes all course work required to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, including all general education and nursing courses.
- Second Degree Accelerated BSN - This accelerated program is for those who already have earned a bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing. Course work is completed over five continuous semesters, including summers.
- RN-BSN - This is a fully online program with occasional real-time web conferences enabling practicing nurses, who have taken and passed the NCLEX exam, to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. - Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) - The Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences program is
designed for graduates of Associate Degree Health Science/Allied Health
programs having a clinical focus such as respiratory therapy, radiologic
technology, occupational therapy, physical therapy assisting, surgical
technology etc.
- Gerontology Certificate - The purpose of a gerontology certificate is to prepare current and prospective
personnel within the healthcare and human service sectors to provide services
appropriate for an increasing population of aging clients.
