Methodist College and Illinois Central College (ICC) are united in their commitment to creating accessible pathways for students pursuing careers devoted to caring for others. As part of this shared mission, Methodist College is establishing a consortium agreement with ICC that will allow Methodist College students to take select courses at ICC while continuing to use their financial aid across both institutions.
Through consortium agreements, colleges can collaborate to benefit students who otherwise may not be eligible to receive financial aid at multiple institutions simultaneously. This partnership removes that barrier and provides greater flexibility and access for students working to complete their degrees. Methodist College primarily serves non-traditional students who have a variety of personal and work obligations in addition to being a student - this can sometimes make finding aligning course schedules challenging. By partnering with ICC, students will not only have the mentoring environment at Methodist College but gain access to a broader catalogue of ICC courses offered at a variety of times, both online and in person.

D., chancellor of Methodist College, said. “We remain focused on igniting the passion for healthcare by helping students make the most of their financial aid and supporting their ability to complete their education on a timeline that fits their lives.”
The consortium is designed to help students maximize their financial aid while improving both academic and financial outcomes. By offering increased course availability and scheduling options, the partnership will help students stay on track and potentially accelerate their time to graduation.
