Q: As you get closer to graduation, what excites you most about entering the nursing profession?

A: As I get closer to graduation, what excites me most is the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives during moments when they need compassion, strength, and support the most. Nursing is more than a career to me, it is a calling that allows me to care for others while continuously learning and growing. I am especially excited to begin my journey in women’s health and be part of life-changing moments for client and their families.

Q: What experiences during nursing school have confirmed that you chose the right career?

A: My experiences during nursing school, especially in clinical settings, have confirmed that I chose the right career. Whether comforting a client, helping someone feel seen and heard, or learning from nurses who lead with both skill and empathy, each moment has reminded me why I chose this path. Even during challenging days, I have felt fulfilled knowing I am preparing for a profession centered on service and compassion.

Q: What kind of impact do you hope to make as a new nurse?

A: As a new nurse, I hope to make clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. I want to be someone who not only provides quality care, but also advocates for those who may feel overlooked or unheard. I hope to bring kindness, positivity, and dedication into every room I enter, while making a lasting difference in the lives of clients, families, and the healthcare team around me.

Q: How are you feeling as the transition from student to professional nurse approaches?

A: As this transition approaches, I feel a mixture of excitement, gratitude, motivation, and even a little nervousness. Nursing school has challenged me, shaped me, and helped me grow both personally and professionally. While I know there will always be more to learn, but I feel proud of how far I have come and eager to step into this next chapter with humility, confidence, and heart.
