Dr. Cherrill Stockmann presented with the DAISY Award

Dr. Cherrill Stockmann was awarded the DAISY Faculty Award by her peers, students and administrative staff at Methodist College on February 6, 2015. Dr. Stockmann was presented with the DAISY Faculty Award Certificate, award pin and a stone sculpture entitled “A Healer’s Touch.”  Dr. Stockmann teaches Nursing Research I & II, as well as Mental Health.  She is also a leader in nursing research at the college, and is currently conducting a qualitative research study on the use of presence in the nurse-client relationship. 

 The DAISY Award is a national recognition program that colleges may use to demonstrate appreciation to teachers for their commitment and inspirational influence on their students.  The DAISY Award is to honor extraordinary nursing faculty for the effect they have on their students, patient care and professionalism of nursing.
