Undergraduate Student Awards Recipients Announced

The Methodist College Student Development Committee has announced the recipients of the Undergraduate Student Awards for the 2019-2020 academic year. Twenty-one nominations were received and those who met the criteria were asked to submit an essay to the committee. The Student Development Committee reviewed the essays-- committee members did not know the names of the students -- and selected the recipients.

Jordan OrsiniJordan Orsini is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing major from Edelstein, Illinois and is this year's recipient of the Methodist College Undergraduate Academic Excellence Student Award. Recipients must carry a credit hour load of 11 or more per regular academic semester, achieve a GPA of 2.5 or higher, demonstrate student leadership and responsibility, and demonstrate significan community service.




Krysta DiltsKrysta Dilts is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing major from Canton, Illinois and is this year's recipient of the Methodist College Undergraduate Community Engagement Award. This award recognizes a student who collectively displays exemplary community engagement activities such as volunteerism, community-based learning, outreach, partnerships, curricular engagment or community based research.



Sammy GillhamSamantha "Sammy" Gillham is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing major from Cuba, Illinois and is this year's recipient of the Methodist College Undergraduate Student Leadership. The award recognizes a student for successful performance in a leadership role. The student must demonstrate leadership, initiative, and ongoing commitement to community partners through civic engagement, and be active in college service or governance.
